Josh D'Ambrosio Chief Commercial Officer

Josh is an experienced risk and compliance executive serving in Ernst & Young’s IT Risk Advisory Team for 5 years prior to joining BANXA in July 2017 as General Manager where he helped scale the business to where it is today. Previously, Josh founded and scaled a social sports company to become the Australian market leader in its industry. 

Sean Moynihan Chief Operations Officer

Sean has considerable experience in operations with early-stage tech ventures. He was in PwC’s Digital Ventures business and was part of the founding team for PwC’s first online service globally. He has also led several startup businesses before joining Banxa as its COO. He brings strong commercial skills developed through his startup and corporate backgrounds along with an education in both Laws and Mathematics. 

Iain Clark Chief Technology Officer

Iain has been the CTO at Banxa since 2019. He joined to help the company release the Banxa product to the market and since then has grown the technology area to over 30 people. Iain looks after the engineering, platform support, IT, security and data functions at Banxa.

Prior to working at Banxa, Iain was the CTO at Crowd Media for 7 years taking that company through the listing and moving it from a fully manual operation to a largely AI-driven business. Before this, he was VP at Goldman Sachs for 8 years where he led the development of Client Money and Asset Servicing platforms

Tom Chalmers Chief Product Officer

Tom is a highly focused product leader, passionate about helping teams and customers reach their goals. Tom joins Banxa from online retail derivatives broker Pepperstone where he was head of product, managing the business’s product management, UX and marketing technology departments. Prior to this Tom lead product innovation as SaaS edutech aXcelerate, helping design and launch their learning management and assessment platforms.

Tom’s been a crypto hobbyist since 2011 and is helping bring to life Banxa’s product strategy in DeFi and other web3 categories.

Richard Mico US CEO / Global Head of Legal Risk and Compliance

Richard has a strong technical knowledge and broad experience in providing advice and legal guidance across technology and finance across multi-jurisdictional spaces.

With a passion for the digital asset space and disruptive industries more generally, Richard has worked with teams to launch numerous products including launching the world’s first-ever BNPL product on an open looped digital card and launching Ireland’s first-ever BNPL product. He also has experience building out and running large global legal and operational risk and compliance functions. Prior to his role with Banxa, Richard worked with Lloyds Banking Group and Western Union Business Solutions.

Brinda Paul UK CEO

Brinda is the CEO/General Manager of Banxa UK, and is responsible for the overall strategic vision and performance of the UK business.  She has been with the Banxa Group since 2019, and brings a wealth of experience including executive level leadership experience and developing approaches and strategies to help the business adequately mitigate risks and compliantly launch new products and services in a highly fluid regulatory environment.

Zafer Qureshi Head of Corporate Affairs

Zafer Qureshi has 10+ years as an investor and is the Founder and CEO of the Qureshi Family Office (Alam Group of Companies Inc.). Prior to this role, he made a significant impact in the world of finance during his tenure at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). At RBC, Zafer specialized in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) investment banking and enterprise strategy, where he played a pivotal role in structuring and executing strategic financial transactions and leading critical corporate initiatives. His appointment as an Executive Director and Head of Corporate Affairs at Banxa brings a wealth of financial acumen and strategic vision to the team.

Patrick Maguire Chief Financial Officer

Patrick is an experienced Chief Financial Officer with a global career gained with both public and private businesses leading all aspects of the finance function as well as strategy development, capital raising, M&A and risk management to deliver business growth. Patrick previously held executive positions with technology businesses such as The Yield Technology Solutions, QSR International, Digicel Pacific and Euronet Worldwide Inc. Under Patrick’s leadership the finance function will have significant depth to unlock Banxa’s next phase of growth.

Holger Arians Chairman

Holger Arians is the CEO of Banxa Holdings. Holger has previously built and run several technology startups. Prior to Banxa, Holger oversaw and worked closely with a portfolio of 30 early-stage technology companies as CEO of Dominet Venture Partners. Holger holds an Executive MBA from Mannheim (Germany) and ESSEC Business Schools (France) and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.

Zafer Qureshi Executive Director

Zafer Qureshi has 10+ years as an investor and is the Founder and CEO of the Qureshi Family Office (Alam Group of Companies Inc.). Mujir A. Muneeruddin Corporate Secretary

Mujir is a corporate and securities lawyer with a bacgkground as a C-Suite technology executive and a real estate entrepreneur. He has a track record in building, aiding and advising transformative organizations. Currently a Partner at Pallett Valo LLP, Mujir has been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by Post City Magazine and “Top 40 Under 40” professional by Top 100 Magazine while also being invited to speak at various professional development courses as a recognized thought-leader in his space. His experience includes advising technology, real estate and other companies of all stripes, on raising funds and corporate transactions.

Jim Landau Board Member

Jim is a Non-executive Director/Advisory Board member for a wide range of advanced financial technology platforms and health-related services businesses; A TEC Chairman for CEO’s/GM’s of larger corporates and their key executives.

Leigh Travers Board Member

Leigh Travers has enjoyed a career building relationships in financial and technology markets through his experience at Fintech, Funds Management and Investment Advisory companies. Leigh’s ability to secure buy-in from key stakeholders from within an organization, across an industry and from investors has led to exciting opportunities in Fintech.
